Southwest Center for Microsystems Education (SCME)

SCME chose ExpressTrain, and its training template system, as the training development system for the creation of workforce training programs.

The Southwest Center for Microsystems Education (SCME) provides the Microsystems industry with workforce development models, materials, and opportunities for communities creating Microsystems technology clusters. The SCME assists this industry in establishing national skill standards for technicians and in creating a skilled Microsystems workforce. The Center, with National Science Foundation support, has strategic alignments with Sandia National Laboratories, the University of New Mexico, the Maricopa Advanced Technology Education Center in Semiconductor Manufacturing (MATEC), Bio-Link, the Next Generation Economy Initiative, the National Coalition for Advanced Manufacturing, and the Micro and Nanotechnology Commercialization Education Foundation. SCME was able to utilize PCES's training template system.
